Homemade Chocolate Buttercream Icing

Written on Tuesday, July 31st, 2012 @ 1:06 pm

This weekend, I am going to a “Fifty Shades” book club. Each lady attending must bring a food described in the books. So I making Mr. Grey’s chocolate birthday cake.

Mr. Grey’s cake will require chocolate buttercream icing; and I found (and made) a homemade recipe that’s sinful. It may earn a trip to the “Red Room of Pain”.

Hershey’s® Chococolate™ Chocolate Frosting

Ingredients – 1 stick of butter, 2/3 c. of cocoa, 3 c. powdered sugar, 1/3 c. milk and 1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter. Stir in cocoa. Alternately, add powdered sugar and milk, beating on med. speed to spreading consistency. Add more milk, if needed. Stir in vanilla. Makes about 2 cups.

Enjoy and Laters, Baby!
