Before I arrive to any family party, I hope that bacon-wrapped smokies will be on the appetizer table. And I am never disappointed. Bacon makes everything better, including little smokies. These delicious appetizers are sweet and salty; and you can’t just have one!
To make these yummy smokies, you will need: 1 pound sliced bacon (cut into thirds), 1 (14 oz.) package little smokies, and 3/4 cup brown sugar.
Preheat the oven to 325º. Wrap each little smokie with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place in a 13×9 greased glass pan. Sprinkle brown sugar generously over all. Bake for 40 minutes, until the sugar is bubbly. Serve warm on festive plate. Enjoy!
